As we gathered our equipment we opened the door and there stood a man, he seemed a little confused. When he saw that we had just finished killing 10 drow he appeared happy. His only concern was me in my Sel’anar the drow appearance. I changed in front of him to Thermon Gylain. He wanted to know why I was impersonating one of the slave and not one of the slavers. With his supervision I dropped the persona of Tel’anak the slave and adopted the persona of Sel’anar the slaver. We spent the next several hours gathering the treasure and stock piling our loot in the abandon supply room. Apparently, Specere was a captive of the drow for quite some time and had only just recently escaped. He told us High Priestess Zumana was until just recently the head of the Qabalrin (necromancers) and leader of the drow slavers. A Fire Giant who was now giving orders overthrew her rule. The Qabalrin were the drow with the skull with the blood tear and the drow slaves were the drow with the fire tattoos. Being we had just killed several drow and he hated the drow Specere agreed to help us kill more drow. Specere is an interesting person I tried reading his mind the first time we met him and I heard three different voices in his head. It was rather disturbing and disorienting, I probably won’t be reading his mind again any time soon. We rested in the storeroom that night and made ready to leave in what felt like morning to us. It very hard to tell what time of the day it is when you can’t see the sun. It’s been the biggest part of a week, I think, and I’m beginning to miss the sun. Since we had been to every room on this level we decided to take the stair down to the next level. The stair wound down to a door. On the other side of the door was a passage heading south 40 feet and turning east. We followed another 70 feet and turned north. 70 feet further we came to a door with a symbol above it. We opened the door and on the wall to the right and way down 50 feet on the left were button with 8 symbols on them including the one above the door. Otho became infatuated with the buttons and wanted to push one. I tried to stop him, but he is a quick little guy. He pushed a button and the hallway began to rotate clockwise. Otho quickly pushed the button of the symbol over the door we enter and the hallway began moving counterclockwise back to where it was previously. Telling him to stop pushing the buttons we all decided to check the door at the end of the hallway. The door opened to the north (if we were still pointing north) and spanned 70 feet before coming to a “T” heading east and west. At the “T” intersection we could see both paths went about 50 feet and turned south. We chose to go west and take the turn south. The hallway opened to a door. I checked the door and Argent opened the door. The room was covered with a yellow covered mold everywhere and in the room was one of those damn warforged scorpions. Enalo warned us that there is a dangerous kind of yellow mold that can kill you if you inhale the spores. I tried to tell the scorpion not to attack since I looked and spoke drow. The scorpion paused and hesitated for a moment they rushed the door. We chose to stand our ground in the doorway and let the scorpion come to us. Argent took on the brunt of the fight, Trot beside him. The amazing part was Specere who suddenly grew twice his size and attacked over the top of Trot. The three powerful warriors fought valiantly and as though they had fought together for years. The scorpion had no chance. Argent did take some small damage, but we have learned how to kill the warforged scorpions. With the danger of the yellow mold in the room Argent volunteer to go in and search the room by himself since he doesn’t breath. Argent was gone for about 5 minutes when he returned. Otho cast a spell called Prestidigitation and cleaned the spores off him. All he found was a box of copper embalms a little bigger than a coin and a body of a dead drow. The body wore leather armor that he chose to leave behind and a sack. The sack contained 400gp and 3 small blue gems. We left the scorpion room and went to the room of to the east and turned south. Just like the last hall there was a door as soon as you turned south. We opened the door and found an old altar to a forgotten god. On the altar were several items made of a rare teak wood. We grabbed an ancient holy symbol, two candlesticks and a bowl. There were exactly the kinds of ancient artifacts that Morgrave University was interested in. When Otho stepped behind the altar the floor lower to become a ramp down to the next level. Not wanting to leave any monsters behind us we chose to go back up the ramp and back to the rotating hallway. We pushed the button and let the hallway rotate counterclockwise. On the other side of the hallway was a long hallway that ended at a door. I checked the door and Argent opened the door. This time though there was a firetrap. I have never been able to find magical traps and Argent paid the price this time by getting scorched. On the other side of the door was another altar. This time the altar was for giants as the altar was very tall. The altar itself was not very well made. Also in the room were two old tapestries. They looked like they would fall apart if they were touched. Having discovered nothing of value we headed back to the rotating hallway and went out the other door. The door went out into an “L” shaped hallway. Halfway down the hallway two giant ghosts appeared and said “Go no further or you shall meet your death”. Argent and Trot were frightened and took off running (scuttling) as fast as they could the other direction. A couple of minutes later we found them in the giant’s altar room. They seemed to have settled down so we went back past where the ghosts were and into the room. This room was also set up with an altar dedicated to a giant god. This room had a huge golden bowl and an enormous golden statue. We took note of the statue and took the golden bowl and head back to the spinning hallway.
